Slovenia Under-21 international midfielder Nejc Pecnik has revealed that he has visited Championship outfit Leicester City with a view to signing for The Foxes.
Pecnik explained that City’s Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion are also interested in securing his services.
The young attacking midfielder currently plays for Slovenian side Celje and has impressed Foxes boss Ian Holloway sufficiently to merit a trip to The Walkers Stadium to discuss a possible deal.
"I was already at Leicester City,” revealed Pecnik in the Slovenian media. “I took a look at the stadium and around the club and was also in the stands for the Wolverhampton Wanderers game.
“The club showed an interest in me and now we will see how they will reply to my club Celje. Words from the coach Ian Holloway mean a lot to me. He said that he has already watched me play on
DVD and his wish is that I would soon continue my career in England.
“If you ask me, than Leicester City would be ideal for me, but I don't know much about West Bromwich Albion.
“It true our president was in London, but I don't know anything else.”
