I had a senior boffin at work do a statistical analysis (similar to predicting the result of a horse race), taking into account the players we have available, our run-in opponents, and even the improving weather conditions (the game at Ipswich showed our boys don't like playing in wintery conditions!)

The computer-generated results gave Leicester a 38% chance of making up the points deficit and claiming a play-off spot. It's slightly more than 1 in 3 possibility, but it's still do-able

The bad news is the Waghorn injury, which occured after I gave the nerds all of Leicester's data, the good news / bad news situation is that most of our remaining games are against play-off rivals Burnley, Reading, Watford & Forest, which means we are playing good teams under the same pressure we are, and makes these games true 6-pointers. The nerds also liked the fact that our last game is at home (a boost if we really need three points to clinch it)

The message to players & fans from the nerds & their computer program is that "LCFC are drinking at at the Last Chance salloon, and must win three of the four games against our closest rivals, plus the other games".

We definitely need Sven and the players to evoke memories of the FOXES NEVER QUIT team spirit and go on a run that will power us to glory! Come on boys....you can do this :038:

For Leicester, for England....chaaaaaarge!

you do know that 88.2% of statistics are made up?

Can you get your senior boffin to work out the chances of us going up next year? my old man is still thinking of getting a season ticket.

we have picked up 46 points this season from the 19 games in which we have scored first, with a goal difference of plus 22 in those games.

providing we score first the only way is up

Saturday's win makes it 49 points and plus 26 goal difference

Scoring first still proves to be vital

only in 6 league games have we managed to get something out of the game when the opposition have scored first, only winning twice. We have only lost 1 game when we have scored first.
