New Albums For 2006

Some releases in 2006 I'm looking forward to:

Mogwai, Mr Beast - heard it yesterday and they're back to their best

Gosling - great newish band from the States, first album out in spring

Spiritualized - should have been out by now but held up due to illness

The Earlies - hoping for new material in the summer

Engineers - should be back in the studio in new year

Concretes - new album due January

Ya, its just that new single, cant decide myself about it.

Strokes last two albums have been crackers but appears this new is going to be freshly produced and touched up.

They said themselves that's its different a more 'mature' sound apparently.Single is a 'Grower' IMO.

Whereas before they were raw and ready. You cant actually hear the singer on the new single whereas before anything apart from the chorus in previous years, he just mubbled.

Strokes new album didnt get a great write-up in the Guardian.

Add these to the guys to look out for in 2006
The Young Knives from Ashby, they have written a song called Loughborough Suicide.

Enough said, instant geniuses.
