New ex-players (and managers) thread

Canal Plus report this evening that St Étienne and Claude Puel have reached an agreement for the ex-Leicester City, OGC Nice and Southampton manager to fulfil the same role from the beginning of next week on a contract running for several campaigns.

Current boss Ghislain Printant, who was asked the leave the club earlier this week but refused to resign, will preside over the team for Sunday’s Ligue 1 fixture with Nîmes, but the outlet claims that on Monday, Puel is due to take over.

All relevant parties are understood to have reached an agreement in principle, but no contract has yet been signed to make Puel, who was famously the boss at arch-rivals Lyon, their new manager.

I'm sure he'll be able to sort out Sarah Cracknall and the boys' travel to gigs and a new record deal just fine, but will the fans think it all a bit of a snooze fest?
Only watching Claude Puel’s brand of football can break your heart.

Slimani has just scored for Monaco as well. Does he class as an ex player?!

Wooops thanks Jeff

I've always hated Saint Etienne. Indie-dance rubbish. Student faves. Arty codswallop.
