I appear to be the only person I know with the new version.

I only said last night it must be 10 years since digital was launched and the menu hasn't had a fundamental change. I was aware about 18 months ago sky staff were testing a new menu system on their boxes but assumed it had been shelved as it never materialised for customers.

Just researched it, only being rolled out to one specific Thomson HD box at the moment.

If it ain't broke.....

What you notice when you look at the less professional EPGs on digital HD recorders is how user-friendly and frankly, superb, the Sky interface is.

Certainly, yet if you look at something like Tivo, you notice how frankly behind the times it is

we've got it, I think it ****ing blows - it's the one with the 'mini screen' in the top right corner so you can watch tv while browsing through the tv guide?

I don't think it has changed on mine yet, but from watching the new features bit on the demo there, it sounds better to me because it's fixed all the things that annoyed me before (not being able to see the picture when on guide, and not being able to see programme info for other channels on the quick view thing while watching something)

It has got better features, but navigating the menus is much more difficult.

Only hd at the minute as I understand it.
