BBC Radio Derby also reported that the decision to suspend Pearson was taken pending the club's investigation into his behaviour and he is not expected to return as manager.

Anyone know what actually happened?

One place I saw he'd threatened to hit the chairman. Another place I read that he'd had an argument with the chairman after the chairman told him what team he should select for their game on Tuesday night which Pearson wasn't happy with.

I think it's a shame as Pearson was a good manager for us - but hilarious because it's Derby.
