I've mentioned a lot how useless our fast bowling imports have been in recent years, so I've dug out some evidence. Only Asif and Singh from the list below have shown any sort of ability to take wickets at regular intervals. Not one of them averages below 30. With these leading our attack, what chance have we got :icon_roll

Your right Glyn. A pile of ****. Not one of them, apart from Mohammad Asif, is any real quality either. Not much point signing an overseas player if they aren't that much better than what you've already got!!!

Willoughby has done ok at Somerset as has Gibson at Durham they would still make a good opening partership for us

Well in their defence
1. The pitches are getting flatter and a lot more batsman friendly
2. Many of the bowlers are drafted in for one or two games and expected to perform.

but even so, some of the signings have been diabolical. Mark f'ing Cleary was never going to be a success. Why do we sign players when they are very likely to have to tour with their country?

We have no common sense when it comes to signing overseas players.

Can I bring this thread up again and point out that to date our overseas bowler Iain O'Brien has 2 wickets for 187 runs in the CC......
