There was discussion about this in the rules and format thread in November - a discussion which you contributed to. In fact, you were one of several people who approved of the trialling of different rules in this competition, leading to the different scoring method for these games. In short: OG got 40 for Everton for the same reason you got 69 for Southend. Goals.
