I have seen this lad play for both Plymouth and Stoke. he has always looked very useful. I think it's a great squad addition and will add competition and options.

We are building a very tidy squad for the future - i like the plan, although i do fear an asset maybe be sold to balance the books.

I don't need cheering up, I just think people are assuming players will be good before seeing them play for us, and it doesn't always work out like that.

NP will sign a dud one day, maybe this is the one, maybe it's not.

Surely Dickov would count as a dud. Nevertheless Pearson and Walsh bought and loaned very well last season. I have been impressed by the new signings this season although I have not yet seen Neilson.

I wonder whether Nigel sees him as a squad player and backup for Steve Howard or as first choice. One thing is certain if he does manage to keep his place when Howard is fit he will be a very fine signing.

I'm not sure what times the stories where published, but I very much doubt Pearson was unaware of what was happening with Gallagher when he mentioned Yan.

Not really, when you consider Waghorn could return in Jan (or possibly sooner) and Gallagher is more of an attacking midfielder than a striker.

Think PG could be a good signing, but who knows....we needed to strengthen, we have...one more striker and id be pleased with the squad, btut saying that... striker wise it always depends if they hit the onion bag early and get the confidence going.
