PES v Fifa-the 2009 battle!

SOOOOOOOOO its almost that time of year again when our two favourite footballing games are about to hit the shops.

PES looks great this year with the addition of the official Champions League game mode, but having seen some of FIFA 09's graphics they put it to shame (shame that the gameplay will probably be shite again!)

which one are you going to buy (if any)

Mainly due to my two boys being FIFA mad, we'll probably go with FIFA09 first. But most youngsters seem to prefer FIFA with the oldens going with PES. Actualy, my two will probably nag me until we end up with both!

I'm going for PES, FIFA has lost me i'm afraid. I think they've sacrificed good gameplay to make it more realistic, it just dosen't do it for me, and i've been a PES man for afew years now anyway. Its just more fun.

I am a PES man through and through. The online was fecking awful last edition, the gameplay not the best either. I love the game to bits and wish it pulls through. Looks at the graphics I'd say PES have closed the gap up in that sense

However, I played the FIFA 09 demo and that plays like a dream.

It was shit on all consoles except the Wii. What is worse is that Seabass said he wanted to delay the game a year as the game was shit :icon_roll

I'm on the FIFA bandwagon again this year. Got 08 for free when i got my ps3 and never looked back. EA gave me copies of 07 and that made the switch for me after subscribing to pes since pes 2. I'm down London to play them both in a couple of weeks - cant wait!

I downloaded the fifa demo the other day and it is surprisingly good. I'm generally more of a PES fan but last year PES 2008 was abysmal so this year might be the year to revert back to the old ways and get FIFA again, I'll reserve judgement 'til I get to see the PES demo I guess...

I played PES 2008 yesterday on a HD telly. I never knew HD could improve the gaming experience so much.
