I'd like the Premier League drop outs out the way as early as possible. Won't have had time to get a head of steam going early on so I think it's the ideal time to be playing them.

Did I hear a while ago that the fixture list could not be copy righted and if so does that mean can post it in here?

There was an EU ruling but the UK courts have the final say. I don't know when that's likely to happen.

That can't be right. Surely the UK courts are just the final rubber-stamp on whatever the EU commands?

I've been looking for more information on this to see if a final decision has been made, but it seems that nothing has happened since the EU ruling a couple of months ago. So at the moment the fixture list is still subject to copyright.

For information, to display one club's fixtures on a website would cost £319.20.
If I wanted to publish fixtures for all clubs it would cost £27,040.80


When the fixtures come out, please can someone start a new thread showing a selection of the fixtures - maybe the first couple of games, boxing day etc. I have no problem with people then adding to the thread to discuss other matches such as local derbies etc. I don't mind if all the fixtures are mentioned in the thread, as long as it's not a list.

Leeds at home on the first day. Always important to get a win to kick off the season, so nice easy game!

Haha, that's a great idea! Can't have to pay for a list of BM's holiday destinations. Not that the fixture list is difficult to find elsewhere, but trying to circumvent the law is fun cuz Im a gangsta
