Leicester City's pre-season plans ahead of the 2009/10 Championship campaign are already taking shape.

The players are scheduled to return to training on Wednesday, July 1 before travelling to Blue Square Premier outfit Tamworth on Saturday, July 11 (3pm).

Further matches at fellow non-league side Mansfield Town (Tuesday 21; 7.45pm) and League Two Chesterfield (Tuesday 28; 7.45pm) have also been confirmed.

Other fixtures will be publicised once finalised.

The Football League season begins on Saturday, August 8.

Any idea Newts if there is going to be a 'big' club friendly at the Walkers, even if it is only a Prem club. I think it is going to be a few years yet before we can the likes of Barca back.

Big fancy clubs like Barca will play just about anywhere pre-season. You do, however, have to give them a shit load of money first.

Probably, though i dont see how i've contradicted myself. My point is that Newts whilst not explicitly lying, is implicitly implying he may know something about the clubs pre-season plans in the future, which i believe is bollocks
