Prediction league

Dear all,

I have previously participated in other leagues on TB, but to be honest it really wasn't for me as my knowledge outside of the top two divisions is worse than my knowledge of the top two divisions.

So I am considering launching a simplified version which would work thus:

Predictions required for prem and championship for one weeks fixtures (Saturday to Friday inclusive), where predictions have to be submitted by 2.00 pm on the Saturday.

Points awarded thus:

Incorrect result but one score correct =1 point.

Correct result but both scores incorrect = 3 points.

Correct result and one score correct score = 4 points.

Correct result and both scores correct 10 points.

Correct result and goal difference correct = 5 points. Example; you predict 2-1 but the game finishes 1-0.

Each weeks fixtures would be in a head to head basis with results posted in head to head format as well as league.

I reckon I need 20 to make this worthwhile so if you are interested please respond in this thread.

No reminders, just a single post on a Saturday or Sunday with the fixtures, interested?

Maybe the cut-off time needs revising to 12.00pm Saturday to catch the 12.45pm fixtures.

Bonus points for All correct results (regardless of score ) say 10
And 5 for 9 correct say.
20 for every score correct. Although can't see many times that happening

Yep seems a good bonus although as you point out all 10 correct results would be very, very rare.
