I hope Newcastle get taken over by people that have the clubs best interest at heart. They're a club that deserve better than they've had. However, there is no way that a country should be owning a football club. We already have it indirectly at Man City and PSG and it has been dreadful for the game.
I hope that the PL take this opportunity to improve their standards for new owners. The fact that this dragged on for months until the Saudis got bored with it shouldn't have been the conclusion. The PL should have had rules in place that would have made this whole farce impossible.
