Referrals

Hi Mods,

Today i noticed i have 2 Referrals, can i have the reason behind this,

how many referrals are allowed and what is the next step? do i get kicked off this forum,

Can I email a link to a friend?

Another useful email function is the ability to send a friend a link to a thread you think they may find interesting. Whenever you view a thread, you will find a link somewhere on the page which will allow you to send a brief message to anyone you like. Your referrer ID is added to the link you send, so if your friend registers on this forum as a result of viewing the link you sent to them, your referrals total will automatically be credited

One or more referrals is a good thing. :icon_wink

Whenever you view a thread, you will find a link somewhere on the page which will allow you to send a brief message to anyone you like.

I don't see any such link and I can't find out where it is supposed to be from the FAQs either

Go to the FAQ page, which you can find in the support forum or by clicking the FAQ link at top of the page, and the first paragraph contains this:

but you may be able to find answers to other questions by using the forum's search function or looking through the threads in the support and techie forums, and by looking at the main forum FAQ - by clicking here

The link in the quote above takes you to the forum software FAQ, which contains a search box. Putting 'referrals' into that would have shown the information I posted earlier in the thread.

You could have also found the answer in a previous thread when someone had asked the question.

If I am being thick, I apologise, but I cannot find anything there that tells me where the 'send link' button has gone to which is apparently visible on each thread page.

Does it depend on the page style I have? I use the default setting.

Sorry, I thought you meant you couldn't see the bit about referrals.

Click on thread tools at the top of the thread and you should see an 'Email this page' link.
