Daily Mail this morning says he will be signed as soon as his emergency loan at Sheff Utd expires. Have to admit that I've only ever seen him in dissapointing Man Utd performances where they rest the decent players. So hard to say if he'd add to us either at left back or centre half? Thoughts?

Other than if/when one of the back 4 from the last few games get injured? The cover we have is pretty shite really

Berner isn't the long term left back solution for a good side. Too easily skinned although good on the ball. So I can see why we might be looking Ã*t left sided defenders of quality. No one ever wins the championship without over 40goals from 2 to 3 strikers though...so agree th's where our shortage is. He'll need to shift one or two is we bring in many more though?: fryatt, howard, crncic, gallagher, waghorn, vassell, (n'guessan), kermorgant only out on loan - so still on the wage bill. A bit of focus needed!
