If he's signed a pre-contract agreement he's as good as signed, it will be legally binding.

Yes it does, because he has signed, but he wont officially be a Leicester player til the transfer window re-opens on 1st July.

No but I can't see us signing Gilbert plus someone else who'll expect to play every game. Might be wrong though

I think it's more to do with when his current contract ends, we can sign players before July 1st.

I read on the BBC site earlier that the transfer window opens again on July 1st, but that's a load of bollocks, so I wouldn't necessarily believe what they've said about this transfer until we have confirmation from one of the clubs or the player.

Fair enough. How come the transfer window doesnt open 1st July though? that was always the impression the media seems to give out.

This seems to be going the same way as last year, loads of rumours about us looking at the same players as every other club then Pearson/Shakespear pull a player out of the hat that no one has mentioned.

Let's hope they turn out as well as most of last year's selections.
