In that case, I've misunderstood what you are trying to do. Is not the below what you were seeking to achieve?

If I was just printing out the single sheet on a printer then yes.

However, the added complication (I should have mentioned this!) is that I am sending the document to a utility called 'FinePrint' which collects documents from various programs ready to print out as one - in my case to a PDF document.

The resulting problem is that all of the other pages in the document are in portrait mode but this one sheet is landscape.

If it was just a conventional printout I could of course just re-orientate the sheet myself within the paper stack!!

If you saved it as a pdf yourself, would this help you to control the orientation?

No, because it forms just one page of a multi-page PDF that requires all parts to be of the same orientation.

Well, possibly not but there must still be a feature or a way to rotate the entire spreadsheet through 90 degrees.

I mean, it does everything else!
