Dont you miss the good old score flashes we used to get at filbert street?

i cant believe that technology today cant allow them to do this at the walkers during stoppages

the score board at filbert street often needed attention at most games but we still got score flashes whilst players were recovering from a no nonsense walshy tackle.

totally agree, though we still get them at HT and FT, but yes, it is interesting to keep up to date when theres an injury.

About 50% of the crowd noticed the moment they first flashed up, then leant across and said to their mate "score flash" - it was quiet but clearly audible around the ground.

I liked it to keep tabs of how I was doing on the coupon. Now days it's all text messaging .

I think one of our managers stopped the scoreflashes at Filbert St because he thought it distracted crowd and players. Not that it bothered me, I couldn't see either of the Filbert St scoreboards from where I sat.

I'm sure the current scoreboard is capable of showing latest scores, they've done it before with a scrolling score at the top, can't remember what it was for though.

I think they done it for half-time scores in the first few games of the Walkers Stadium.

think they did it when we played Brighton and showed Sheff Utd losing the season we went up.
