I have transferred some video files from a Kodak Playfull video camera to my laptop. When I try to open them I get the message Server Execution Failed. Is this a problem with the files or with the laptop?
Which operating system do you have David?
What type of video file is it that you've transferred over?
I am using Windows 8, The camera downloads as Windows Media Player.
Does it have a file extension? Something like mp4 or mov or avi or wmv at the end of the filename?
According to Properties it opens with Windows Media Player but the type of file is MP4 video. Previous downloads have opened with no problem and still do so.
I'd recommend installing the K-Lite codec pack. Accept all of the default options during the installation and that should cure all of your present, and potential future, video playing woes.According to Properties it opens with Windows Media Player but the type of file is MP4 video. Previous downloads have opened with no problem and still do so.
