i can get it conneceted with the ethernet but it wont, let me connect wirelessly even though the connection is there any suggestions would be appreciated?

Can you explain in more detail?

What do you mean by "the connection is there"?
The connection between the router and the internet, or the router and the PC?

Have you set up any security?

Try disabling all the security stuff and try again, you may ave a problem with wep etc or have a firewall stopping the connection.

Sky wireless routers have security installed as standard, you need to enter the ssid and network key to access it wirelessly! It should be on a card in the box

just a quick update, i decided to buy an extra cable and stop ****ing around. wireless appears to be shit and slow from what ive seen anywho

If you're just using wireless to connect to the internet, the speed of the wireless network should much faster than the internet connection. If it's not you need to make sure you have it set up correctly.
