when i press the 'tv guide' button on the remote, the background is some award ceremony photo in black and white. What's that all about? Have the kids been arsing around with the settings or is it like that for everyone?

It sometimes happens when you press tv guide that the picture from the programme currently on gets stuck in the background. Switch it off at the wall for a minute and it will disappear.
