anybody been? going to wedding in lake bled slovenia next year no idea what its like
possibilty of staying in italy (40 mins away on train to venice) anybody any input? any ideas?

i stayed at a place north of venice a while a ago called lido di jessolo(sp)
that was nice, good beach 20/30 min ferry to venice

I'm not sure what they are like in Venice, but Rome was very expensive. 8 euro (Approx £5.67) for ¾ pint when I was there last year.

You're as well staying in Slovenia. Lake Bled is nice enough although a bit quiet. Ljubljana is great, nice and small, decent trough and beer. And very, very cheap.

No worries. If you stay in Ljubljana, the Hotel Slon is great and the Union Executive/Business is pretty decent - both are right in the centre. You probably know already but EasyJet from Stansted is the cheapest way to get there.
