Been saying Drinkwater should be dropped for months, but no he's one of the golden boys. We've got a serious serious problem with our back four. We don't just 'need back up for Wes and Huth' - Wes and Huth need to be the back up for someone else. To compound matters, Ranieri is making daft changes like re-introducing Fuchs over the superior Chilwell.

I think in this situation we really need a manager who is going to lambast the players who are underperforming and Ranieri is just too ****ing nice.

That's not an excuse for the sort of performance he's been putting in this season. You should try your best even if you're out of position, not sulk.

It's nothing to do with formation or nonsense about changing positions. The back four have been awful and are playing in positions that they've played for the better part of two years.

This makes no sense. Adopting a new system every other game or so has a massive impact on the players' ability to make a position their own consistently. The defence are the same, you are correct, but they have a midfield in front of them that are being changed around every 5 minutes and altered again every half-time. This means they are inevitably far more exposed a lot of the time as the midfield 2/3/4/5 or whatever other ridiculous system we adopt, don't know how to prevent teams cutting straight through them. I'm not absolving the back four of blame, they've been awful, but we need a settled approach to formation and selection in games if we want to build any confidence at all. Surely last season was absolute concrete proof of this?!

Anyway another change of formation reinforcing the idea that Ranieri doesn't know what the **** he is doing. Back to a flat 4-4-2 which we should just persist with all season like we did last.
