Is he?
Good manager IMO.
2). Did nothing of great note with Man City to leave after a year
3). Took up a role as Director of Football at Notts County and left
Good manager? Ok he has a good record in Portugal and Italy but what has he done in the last 10 years?
1). Underachieved with and England squad who could've done much better, especially in 2006

Suspect. Obviously he has got more of a pedigree than other names we could've been linked with, but he's only here for the money and will bleed us dry. I don't see what skills as a manager Sven has for Championship football.
Good point. Sousa appears to have seriously p*ssed off a fair number of the squad. To be honest, I'd be happier with Sven than MON. People have short memories of what it was like when he departed. Also MON is susceptable to having favourites within a squad and leaving others totally out to dry, as apparently was the case with a few players at Villa. To be fair Sven does seem to have good man management skills which is probably exactly what the club needs at the moment.
2) Eriksson had produced an all time (joint) record of season league points won and the best results since the 1970's
3) They ended up promoted, and didn't he walk without a payoff after staying for a while to try and help them after the new owners went tits up.
