I like how they're all hedging their bets with this one...

We're bringing in 2 centre backs which paves the way for Maguire to leave... but we still want to sign both even if Maguire stays. So whether he stays or not, they can't be wrong.

I don't see Maguire going but now potentially signing TWO centre backs does surprise me. But it just gives me more hope we're considering a back 3.

Or perhaps there's a chance to offload Benny and/or Wes. Or Puel just realises from pre-season he doesn't want to have to use Benny at all.

I think we need two center backs no mater what. Buying two young up and coming players gives them a chance to bed in without the pressure of having to go straight into the team.

Benny will be loaned out. I just can't see him being involved this season at all and Morgan to be used less and less (hopefully)

LCFC HQ on Twitter (who have been sccurate) say Benkovic has passed a medical this afternoon.

Also say Ulloa is close to leaving, King and Simpson both have offers from elsewhere but neither are keen to go.

They will probably take a pay cut if they move
