Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2021 rumours thread

The transfer window is officially open today.

Wonder if that means we're ready to conclude/announce the deals for Soumare and Eduoard?

If Chelsea sign Hachimi (right wing back) they will apparently listen to offers for Hudson Odoi. We should be all over that. He would go great playing high on the right with Castagne, Ricardo or Justin in behind.

No way we'll let Tielemans go for £50m. We paid £35-40m ourselves and he's got 2 years to run. I expect £70-80m at least this summer, if he stays, we'd probably be about able to break even on him next summer assuming he doesn't sign a new deal...

I bet they will offer a below par bid of 50 million and hope to lure him away by the clubs status.
Then be outraged when we reject it.

None of the big boys will any money after that massive shared fine of *checks notes* 22 million pounds anyway.
a COMBINED TOTAL FINE are you serious ffs

We were linked with Coutinho last year and it didn't seem credible. Actually, I wouldn't be that surprised now.

It's being reported that Barca want rid of his wages. For a loan like this, Barca would probably pay part of his wages and the loaning club the rest.

In January, we were apparently prepared and willing to pay Erikson's £200k a week wages for a loan deal which suggests that we are capable of doing this sort of thing.

It's reported that only really us, Arsenal and Spurs are realistic options for him and, of those three, we must be in prime position. We have been the better of the three teams over the last couple of years and we have Rodgers who Coutinho arguably played his best ever football under.

Aside from all this, there have been suggestions that Barca are interested in Soyuncu and we have been interested in Trincao so there could even be some more deals between the sides.

So if we got 2 of their players and let them have one of ours....

..does that make Barcelona our feeder club!?
