Do you believe that he missed our game yesterday then?
Yes. Why he missed it however, no ****er has any clue. Was he given permission? Was he told not to attend? Did he **** off in a sulk? All are valid, all are possible but some people are far too sure thay they know the answer.

But Sky Sports News agreed with my opinion on this so it must be true. :(

Some people won't have a word said against him, even to the point of denying he half arsed last season. Past actions would back up him being a tit rather than work in his defence.

Don't really need Sky Sports News to work that one out though?

And that is clearly not the part up for debate.

If you accept that nobody knows the answer (which I too accept btw, and have said so) then why are you getting so concerned about it? We seem only to differ on where we think the club should go from here - and that also is simply a matter of opinion and discussion (amongst ourselves)

So much rudeness, oneupmanship and pomposity on here these days. It's tragic

We all know he's a ****, whether you believe rumour, gutter press, Sky or the prearranged statement from his 'friend'

Let's just accept it, because we all know he's also a complete footballing genius, and move on to the next game

Here is the voice of reason

If the club had given him permission to miss training and games I am very sure they would have said something, why wouldn't they?

Why should they? We've had this discussion.

So they would rather leave Mahrez out to dry at at hands of the national press, supporters and supposedly colleagues?

Makes perfect sense

he is having a tantrum end of! the No player is bigger than any club definitely not mahrez if he does not honour his contract he does not get paid its simple. He can either be professional and play to the best of his abilities or he can be up to 7+ million out of pocket in wages his choice.

I agree the club don't have to respond to any of this ''news' but they have and what has been said suggests there is a more serious problem than if Mahrez had been given permission to stay away.

Puel has said they will have to try and cheer him up

And Albrighton has commented that the distraction is not an excuse for the performance.

While neither source confirms the rumours they do fuel them more than refute them.

In the circumstances, it was entirely sensible that Mahrez didn't travel/take part in the Everton game. There was clearly a strong chance that he was going to be leaving the club on deadline day.

The nonsense about him not going to training yesterday is just that. Nonsense. There was no training yesterday.

It is also apparently wide of the mark that the players were upset with him:

Media waffle aside, of course Mahrez is upset and will demonstrate that in some way. He's human. Any parent, manager, tutor, etc, knows full well that sometimes people lose their shit. It doesn't make them '****s' and it doesn't mean that they are beyond redemption.

If Puel or Mahrez think that the right way to deal with this is by giving him some space and time before reintegrating then so be it. If not, I would welcome seeing him back in a 'Leicester' City blue shirt tomorrow.
