The new fresh Real Ale Thread

Since the old real ale thread had gone off, I thought it was time to open a new barrel. So unfittingly I've opened it with a bottle of London Pride. Nothing wrong with the bottle when there's no tap around.

Been at the Leicester Beer Festival today I'm sure you will forgive me but I can't remember what was the best. The Pork Pies and the curries were very good

Bitter from Nøgne Ø. Excellent Norwegian micro brewery. Pricey though, even by Norwegian standards. >£5 a bottle in the shop. Still enjoyable!

Too many pints of Malt Teaser in the local last night, from the Tap House brewery in Smisby.

Excellent. I do enjoy Blanford Flyer. I don't think you need too many at a time.
Their 'Poachers Choice' is another favourite. Lovely taste to that one too.

Our local Aldi have been selling bottles of Doom Bar and very nice it is too, although not as nice as the pint of draught Doom Bar I had at The Stables in MK the other night.

sjn, the best doom bar in mk is the station pub in Woburn sands, dodgy boozer, but he looks after his beer

Incidentally, there's another beer festival coming up in Towcester, at the Rugby Club this time, May3rd - 5th
