On Monday, ESPN revealed that Manchester City are already looking into the feasibility of signing the Argentine forward. The Premier League side are crunching the numbers that would be involved in the deal to see if they would be able to make the signing without breaking financial fair play rules.
Why?

Conspiracy theory - Messi will actually sign for New York City and then be loaned to Man City, to circumvent FFP limits and allow him to eventually end up playing in the MLS.
Again, why? Why would they bother staying within the rules when blatantly breaking them in full view of everyone has no consequences at all?

This is so over the top that it actually becomes quite good. Almost.

This Hamburg player wasn’t to happy about losing to Dresden in the cup tonight. Might be a while before he plays again.

Toni Leistner, who just left QPR two weeks ago. Grew up in Dresden and played for Dynamo. Maybe the guy owed him money.
