So I went back to Baldacci and read Zero day first of a new series about John Puller. Really enjoyed it even if the last few chapters shot off into the stratosphere.

Presently reading Every dead thing by John Connolly.

Just finished Eleanor Catton's Luminaries. Was very good. I understand BBC are making a drama from the novel.

I was kindly bought the Booker shortlist for my 40th birthday in 2014. Since my daughter has been born I haven't had as much time to read as I'd like and it's taken me until now to finish them.

Every dead thing was pretty good. Just finished Baldacci's The Forgotten - best of his I've read so far. Lee Child - Personal next up.

Currently reading Bill Bryson's "A Walk In Woods." It's hilarious, I live in Appalachia so I can relate to a lot of it.

Just finished one of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels. It was okay. Having watched Tom Cruise play the lead in the movies I find it so hard to reconcile his character with the one in the books. Strange casting indeed.

Indeed.

Reacher is well over 6 foot and a real tough guy. Cruise is just not Jack Reacher. I think Lee Child sold out a bit there.

Reading Esslemont's series of Malazan books. Erikson's were magnificent and complex.
