Unable to start new thread

Hi Jeff

Just had an MSN message from drummindefender. He is unable to start a new thread in any forum - it says 'not enough characters', even though there quite clearly are. He can't even start a thread in Support to advise you of it.

Any idea what might be causing it? Could you investigate and let him know?

He isn't banned, is he?

Has anyone else experienced the same thing so I can see if people having this problem have anything in common?

I'm not having the same problem, as you can see.

A few suggestions:

1. Try using a different browser.
2. Try using a different PC.
3. Try registering again, with a new user name.

If you do these and let me know what happens it might help steer me towards possible causes.

Before you do anything else, try deleting your temporary internet files.

In IE7, which the system tells me you're using, click on 'tools', then 'delete browsing history', then 'delete files' (the one at the top).

I just sent DD a PM. He can reply to it but his text is not carried in his reply, only the words of mine which he quoted.

Not worth starting a new thread but is anyone else having a problem logging on the the site. Quite often in the last few days I've had 'Connection timed out' come up.
