Web hosting

Virginmedia are ceasing to give webspace from the end of April so I need a host (free or cheap as chips!) for a basic home page or two.

I'm with 1and1 for my domains and email but the webhosting included there is very basic unless I upgrade.

Currently trying Hostinger which seems fine but there are one or two negative reviews.

Anybody got any personal recommendations?

I've not used their basic hosting accounts, but this site is on a server in one of their data centres, and I've also had virtual servers and cloud hosting with them and not had any problems.

Think that will be the one as the basic home package gives me what I want and will give me the same level of email facilities I need as well so that I can move away from 1and 1 for good.
