Let’s not jump the gun. He hasn’t had a full diagnosis yet. How shit for him though. Still fuming. A friendly and some **** does that.

I'm fuming about this. It's a pre-season friendly for ****'s sake. Fernando Nino must have listened to Sean Dyche's motivational WAV. "There's no such thing as friendlies, 'cos there's no such thing as friends".

Gutted for Little Wes, but am hoping that, due to the fact he's as fit as a butcher's dog, he'll mend quickly, and be back for Christmas, if not before.

If it is just the fibula and the tibia is fine it will be a bonus. Fingers crossed.

He looks gas an aired up there!

I,m sure Wesley will get the best possible and up to date treatment from all concerned. He seems positive and it was good to see his post. We all wish him a full recovery.
Also while the tackle was reckless I think no player would want to inflict such an injury, but I was a bit concerned that Wesley was left on the ground unattended as the game continued. On the rare occasions I have witnessed such incidents at close proximity the seriousness was instantly apparent and Nino must have been aware and if he just continued playing, I agree with Miles Away earlier comment.

I want to know why he wasn't sent off, absolutely ridiculous

I think this is possibly better news than I'd initially thought. If he has not broken the tibia and the ligament damage is minimal he may be back sooner than we think.

Yeah that is about as positive early diagnosis as possible really.

Gomes' at Everton looked a horrendous break when it happened but I'm sure he was playing again within 6 months.

Fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery as yesterday was the first time I got to see him play in person and I hope it won't be the last as he really is one of, if not the best CB to play for us imo.
