durham is a glory hunter....;)

I had a free Sunday afternoon so I grabbed some LPs (proper vinyl things) that havn't been played for ages.

The missus started with Lou Reed 'Transformer' (Pretty fine, dated) I grabbed her Rolling Stones 1965 'Out of our heads' (Damn wonderfull at times, Very dated) and then I had to start on 'The Wedding Present' stuff.

After playing the 12"s of WAYBSRN? and Nobods Twisting yer arm (aagggh- so fantastic, esp Don't Laugh & INASO), I've just played George Best for the first time in 5-6 years.

I can't put into words how good that LP is. IMO it's the best LP in the world. I feel so so good (a few beers helped this) anything could happen and I'll still have the happiest face on me for the rest of the day.

George Best - great football player, even better LP

LP - Long Playing record. Called an 'Album' for some reason these days

Bit of shoegazing eh Ox ? more of a Slowdive man myself.

Well in moderation, my favourite 'shoegazers' were Moose. Slowdive were always a more attractive proposition live due to the lead singer. The whole 'genre' is bound to have a revival again surely.

More digging around in the dark corners has revealed the Audioweb album, again not listened to for many a long day. First track is sounding surprisingly fresh.
