the rack of MFP (budget reissues label) records that I could afford I had to buy one. They were mostly rubbish.

Is that the 'Music For Pleasure' label? I remember my parents having several. Was that the same people that did the LP's of cover versions of recent pop hits? I'll have to go on an internet search to track them down.

They always had girls with plenty of cleavage who probably did Page 3 of the Sun etc.on the front of the LP cover. The versions were generally shit though and on any given Sunday at any car boot you can find many of such Lp's and those containing James Last or Mantovani

That's the first LP I ever bought.

I remember buying it from the Co-op in Glenfield when I was shopping with my parents, I would have been about 11/12.
Normal priced LPs were far too expensive, I didn't get much pocket money. So when I saw the rack of MFP (budget reissues label) records that I could afford I had to buy one. They were mostly rubbish, but the Pink Floyd one stood out as being a bit different, and I thought I might like it as I liked some of the tracks on Dark Side of the Moon, which my dad had.


I've just listened to some of the tracks again for the first time in years and it took me back to the days when I listened to it on one of these...
