England have just beaten Sri Lanka thanks mainly to a brilliant performance from Alex Hales.

England fielded first and were awful, then, needing 190 to win, they lost two wickets for no runs in the first over and it looked like an impossible target. But Hales and Morgan then put on 150+, and Hales became the first England player to score a century in a T20 international, making 116 not out from 64 balls.

Nice.

Looked like it was far to many runs needed, especially after the first over with the bat, but at last this winter an England fight back. Hales was superb only had one let off that I recall

Another unbelievable result just about to occur. Playing like prats.

In 16 overs, England have hit a whopping 3 boundaries, all 4's.

We are now 76/8. Against The Netherlands. See you later Ashley - this doesn't do you any favours.

Wahey! A boundary!

49 to win off 18. Two wickets left. Not a snowball's chance in hell.

86/9 - Broad out. What an absolute shocker.

...and typically, in truly embarrassing style, ran out for the last wicket. What a truly bad winter.

if only! So the only team we beat is in the final.
