Directions & Parking:

Approx 192 miles - 3hrs 45mins

M69 > M42 > M5 to J25 > A358 ....

Leave the A358 at the Southfields roundabout, and join the A303. Leave the A303 at the Cartgate roundabout and take the A3088 towards Yeovil. Follow the road for around four miles until you reach a roundabout on the outskirts of Yeovil with the Westlands Airfield directly in front of you. Turn left at this roundabout and then continue straight on, crossing a number of roundabouts. As you pass the entrance to an Asda superstore, take the next left for the ground, which can be seen from the road.

The car park at the ground is £2, otherwise street parking around the ground is plentiful.

Trains:

You will not be surprised to learn that it is not viable to get back after the game. If anyone is interested in going by train and stopping over, feel free to PM me or reply to this thread and I will look for the cheapest possible train fares.

Pubs:

The grounds guide suggests there has been in the past a make shift beer tent outside the ground, however you may not gain entrance if your in colours.

I'm not interested in YOUR room, but which B+B is it at 23.50 ?
Sounds good value down that part of the world.
Cheaper than the rip-off train, which can get you back to the smoke.

I booked a twin room with breakfast for £47, although the price does seem to vary from site to site and from time to time.

Last train back to London leaves Yeovil at 21:20, so I'm not sure which one you mean.

Last train back to London leaves Yeovil at 21:20, so I'm not sure which one you mean.

I think you can get a train that goes the wrong way (to Exeter) and then one from there, gets back at gone 5 in the morning (!).
Not recommended.
Looks like walking is in order, as the ground is on the edge of town in an industrial area.
