I know I am partial to a conspiracy theory but would the club be doing this if they weren't confident of getting him permanently?

I think this implies that it's a done deal.

Are you sure? Players these days have media rights written into their contracts, it is good publicity for the club but even better for Tielemans.

Don't get me wrong, it would be fantastic if he was signed permanently he appears to be a perfect fit for the way the club want to play and also it seems that he has integrated into the squad very well.
