Unlucky not to get a point. Worst performance of the day goes to Homer for a shitty little post typical of himself. We were fine! Toe to toe with a very good side and should have at least got a point. Homer, honestly, give it a rest mate.

Anyone watching at home did we get the full 7 mins added on? Didn't start until 2 mins after the 90 and then they had a sub as well.

Went to about 99:20 so yes. I was hoping to see it hit 100mins - can't be often that happens - but it fell just short

Well I'm disappointed.

When you are the better team - whether it's against Hull or Man city - and you lose then you should be disappointed. None of this " spoilt by last year" there are too many people living in the pâst. We have a good team and they should have done better both today and this season.

I'm glad that Drinky can't be blamed for this one too.

4 or 5 very good signings in the summer, hold onto our top players and we are a very good side. I would say a top 6 side.

We already have the players to be a top 6 side. Have you seen how dire everyone not called Chelsea are?

3 good signings and we have to be top 4. "5 very good signings" and we win the league by 10 points or more.

Manc fans were singing that we knifed him in the back. Some of our fans responded by singing the Ranieri song, others by saying they stabbed Mancini in the back. Amusing scenes outside the ground after the game where Leicester and Manc fans were winding each other up... all from behind the safety of a large fence.

'He must not play the ball again until it has touched another player'

You could hardly call what Mahrez did was playing the ball. If the rule was meant to be interpreted in the way that it has been by the ref then surely it should say 'He must not touch the ball again'.

Very unlucky not to get a well -deserved point.

No complaints from me for this one. The first could've been ruled offside, they could've had a player sent off...fine margins in a game we should be expecting a buggering from. Mahrez was a bit unfortunate that the ref knew the rules on taking pens. Must have gone boot shopping with Shinji.
If he did, then the penalty should have been retaken for encroachment by 2 Man City players, also their keeper was a yard off the line. All happened before Mahrez touched the ball.

Well unless Amartey has shat in Shakey's car he should get a game next time if King is out as well.

Ture. But those things are just accepted these days. When a ref does clamp down on such things they'll be criticised for a lack of consistency.

I must remember next time to not sit near the opposing fans. It seems like that's where all our Stone Island wankers seem to congregate. I honestly don't know why they bother, as they must watch about 5 minutes of the match in total.

They couldn't even be arsed to stay and clap pellegrino during his final farewell. But there's me assuming they're supporting the same team they did last season.

Tough luck, I assumed the ref disallowed the penalty for encroachment of one of our players. Daft rule in my opinion but Caballero appealed straight away.

2-0 down and I thought we were going to get pummelled, I've seen it before many times and was thinking, here we go again. But then I remembered that I have supported this club for a good while, witnessed a few humbling performances, but this is in fact a similar squad that went there and played them off the park last year.

Not sure about the way Shakespeare set us up in the first half. I thought Man City grew in confidence and looked very good in patches. Perhaps we allowed them to. Ndidi kept giving the ball away and we looked like we wanted to clear it upfield to Vardy every time. Benny had a good game but had a brain malfunction to gift them their penalty.

The goal came at an important time for us. Mahrez did well by picking out Albrighton, great strike Shinji. He could have even cushioned to Vardy who was in a acres of space, that is how easily we opened them up.The goal just set off their jitters nicely.

2nd half was great to watch. Chilwell looked to have the better of Sterling for most of the game, some great bombing runs up field. Ndidi stopped giving the ball away probably because there was actually someone to pass to? Mahrez decided he was at a job interview and had better display his CV of attributes. I never think he looks relaxed when taking penalties though. Had chances at the end but nothing clear cut, gave them a good fright.

HT we probably should have been dead and buried.
FT unlucky not to get a deserved point.

CITEH There's only one Citeh!!!!

Stolen from Facebook. Players encroaching and the keeper off the line.

It is quite clear that the ;two touch' rule has to be rewritten as a deliberate second touch. At the moment it is in the the same bracket as 'If a ball touches an arm or a hand in the penalty area it is a penalty'. Clearly ridiculous. Mahrez could never plan to get an advantage by kicking the ball against his foot!
