From the FA's website:

If, after the penalty kick has been taken:

the kicker touches the ball again before it has touched another player: (from Jeff)

Is the kicker touching the ball the same as the ball touching the kicker? (Penalty: Ball to hand or hand to ball). The difference is the intent to control the ball.

It is quite clear that the ;two touch' rule has to be rewritten as a deliberate second touch. At the moment it is in the the same bracket as 'If a ball touches an arm or a hand in the penalty area it is a penalty'. Clearly ridiculous. Mahrez could never plan to get an advantage by kicking the ball against his foot!

But he did get an advantage because it wrong foots the GK. I have no problem with the rule but think a re-take would be the better solution. Of course other penalty infringements need to be enforced as well.

Why is our away approach under Shakey to only play once we go a goal down?

Its like having Pearson back in the great escape season.

We didn't touch the ball until the 2nd half, but then decided we can actually play football.

I'm still not 100% sure that we have the right man in charge to take us up a level, but having said that I don't want to lose all continuation and link to the past few years.....a tough one

And from the same game we have a massive debate about making offside mean offside, regardless of interference in order to make it easier for officials.

Exactly how I'm feeling too.

Mate I think his record speaks for itself

I'd like to agree with that, but I too have a feeling that away, we're setting up with the wrong tactics. Our best game is when we are hassling opponents and giving them no space whatsoever. We don't seem to do that in the first half of many of these games.

True however with a few additions defensively it could be the right option however I do agree we should get stuck in earlier

I would honestly struggle to point out areas for major improvement in defence when our team is playing well.

Summer should be spent reinforcing and getting some players in that are quality, but could be mentored.

I only know the name because I sign him on a well-known video game (an extremely poor way to judge players), but were the option to come up I 'd be interested to know the scouting team's opinion on 6'5 power heading skyscraper Niklas Sule from Hoffenheim. The guy's an unknown giant in a competitive league. Might be worth a punt for Huthy to mentor!
