Directions & Parking

Approx 28 miles - 45 mins

The A46 IMO would be the best route into Nottingham, as the A453 (J24) or the A52 (J25) will be extremely busy.

As you leave the A46, follow signs for A606 Nottingham. As you approach the Wheatcroft island I would ignore the signs for 'Football & Cricket Traffic' and go throught West Bridgford instead. It's a nice area of Nottingham, and parking should be ok.

Alternitavely, if you want to go via the M1, leave at J26 and park at Phoenix Park. Parking is FREE and you would be able to enjoy a ride on the tram. A day ticket is £2.40 or group ticket up to 5 people (max 2 adults) is £5. This would take you to the train station. The ground is about a 20 minute walk from here.

Trains

The last train back from Nottingham is at 21.54, which if the game finishes on time, would only leave you about 12-13 minutes to get back. Not impossible if you ran all the way, but not ideal!! If the game went into extra time, you would be some what f***ed!

I have just checked National Express, and they have no services that will help.

Pubs

The Larwood & Voce at the away end, would be a safe choice. Anywhere in town should be ok as long as colours are kept hidden away.

I would steer clear of the TBI (Trent Bridge Inn) & The Southbank Bar.

The Junction 25 turn off onto the A52 has been shut for ages - avoid like the plague. Also roadworks on the A453 - takes forever that way

Agreed ;)

I would try to park before Trent Bridge rather than pass it because pass the Trent it's a rough area and I noticed last time I went to see Notts County, they have some parking restrictions.

The A52 is now back open, but it will be busier than the A46/A606

A46 is the only sensible way regardless of the work on the 52.

Fox travel departs from the stadium at 6.00pm. Fox Travel prices are: Adult (season ticket holder) £10, Adult £11, Concession (season ticket holder) £8, Concession £9.

£10 quid to get to Nottingham and back - what are they going in, a feckin Limo ?

t'is expensive but it is the only feasible option for me and I'm sure many others, considering the last train is a not possible and the fact that you've gotta be having a beer or two before the game so driving legally is not an option either.

But if people don't want to drive and don't want to use an organised coach, the East Midlands Airport buses that run 24 hours a day will still make it possible to get back. http://www.skylink.co.uk/
It's no cheaper than using the official coach and will take a lot longer, but might be useful for people who want to have a drink n Nottingham after the match.

Its brilliant how the scum try they're hardest to dumb down this game. They are so scared of getting a good hammering they have to pretend (to them selves) that it's not a big game.

GRADE A ****S!!

Have you got a link?
A52, just up from The Showcase

Edit - And it's free to stay but you'll need to qualify though. If you need any help meeting their criteria, give me a shout.
