I think a lot of supporters have already convinced themselves that the championship won't be all that bad and would make a nice change without realising that the club will be in a terrible financial position without the TV money. I couldn't care less that Top and KP have and will continue to...
I'd agree with it being a stupid idea, I think he's run his race as a top level keeper, if he wants out at Nice I'd expect him to head to the Danish league for a bit but he'd have to accept a massive pay cut.
Getting a bit silly, I don't worry about any player on a massive contract because whatever happens he should be financially ok, it's sad if his main life focus goes away but it happens to normal people every day and they don't have the safety net.
The LDs were absolutely moronic to go into government with the Tories, the weekend after the agreement we went to a football match with LD peer Lord Jones and I told him that they were going to destroy their party, he told us that right until the last minute their negotiating team thought they'd...
I was planning to go to New Zealand for most of the tournament to miss it but business class flights got stupidly expensive so I'm now planning a road trip around Scotland for the first few weeks of it.
I'm not sure that Dyche is that limited but he has worked within a club that has no ambition, I don't really think Leicester should take the gamble that he isn't limited.
The stadium is on the list of assets of community value registered with the council, these lists are designed to protect developments and reduce their value to investors with no link to the asset.
I know but there is one positive, the stadium is registered as a community asset and it is very difficult to disconnect it from the football club and sell it (ala Derby etc) but all of the new development except the stand increase should be freely tradeable if the shit hit the fan for the club...
They'll probably leverage every possible future revenue stream and borrow against future season ticket sales, hotel revenue, rentals etc. with little or no underwriting by KP because thy don't have the revenue at the moment.
Because LCFC is a private business owned and run by King Power, they have no benefit from sharing confidential internal business plans with the wider community and competitors.
That's a bit harsh, I think they have the FFP issues, lost almost £4b, a weak management structure, spent a ton on infrastructure and bet the lot on BR not giving up. It's a perfect storm for them, mainly of their own making and I'd guess that Top is out of his depth.
Translation "we had a perfectly good model that had been sustainable over a number of season but decided to ditch it and the finances are now in a mess, we hope that spending a ton of cash on developments will fix the situation"
I've given my ticket away for tonight, I'm in Vienna right now but should be in Leicester by 5-6pm and have zero interest in rushing out to the game, it's a far cry from arriving back from Milan fully suited and booted and dumping the car anywhere to get to Walshies testimonial.
Sentiment and performance can change very quickly, as they say in investment past performance shouldn't be used as a guide to future performance. I have never liked BR as a person but he did perform as a manager for several years, that doesn't seem to be the case now.
I was told on Sunday that a deal is basically agreed at £95m, the source has been correct in the past but I wouldn't bet anything on them being correct and it is probably wishful thinking
Seems like he has 30 million reasons to make the club sack him. He's destroyed any chance of getting a top job now so it's probably all about how much he can earn.
That is a decent idea unless you have players that are willing to down tools and screw the team, Mahrez gave up and it caused problems, any player at Leicester should be available at the right price, the club need to have decent scouting and recruitment
Top seems far more interested in pratting about on the training pitches pretending to be a player than getting things done and Susan is just KP's nodding dog
Shouldn't that read that the club has missed the deadline to update their application? I think they are delaying planning so that they don't have to start spending.
That is one of the reasons for my decision to have a physical card, I won't be surprised if they start checking identities of people using the plastic season cards at some point to stop them being passed on.
