Post counts are important on forums because they indicate who contributes (good or bad) the most, who only posts once in a blue moon, etc.

True, but it's a shame that posts on threads such as 'word association', 'three word story', 'what are you listening to now' etc can't be discounted from the total in some way.

And yes, before it is pointed out, I am fully aware that my own post count has increased by means of posting to the less important threads :icon_wink
