We are no longer in a position where our destination is in our own hands. We are now in a position where can we can win all of our games and still go down.

Unlikely I know, especially as some of them probably have to play each other, but it highlights how close we are.

We are now 3rd favs to go down behind colchester and scunthorpe, bookies are never far away with their odds, but surely we wont go, i think the sheff wed game last but 1 will now be a sell out, ill be there! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/coca-cola-championship/relegation

Strictly speaking not the case. If you take an average between Corals & BetFair then Wednesday are 3rd favourites.

I still tend to think we won't go down - but defeat at Southampton would I think make our position very precarious and if we were to lose again to WBA - I think we could start to sink. As I've said before, I think we will be very vulnerable in games against the other strugglers at the end of the season.

So if we won all our remaining games we might still go down ?That has to be one of the most ridiculous things you have ever said.IF we winning all our remaining games we will definately not go down,however we are not going to win all our remaining matches.If we won three of our remaining matches we will not go down IMO

I'm talking mathematically, as you well know.

Thats just with two bookmakers with others we might be 4th or 5th favourites.They may have taken money for us to go down and have us at shorter odds because they don't want any more money for us,so they put other teams at bigger odds that they have no money for in order to try and balance the book

OK, I shall re-phrase as it does sound stupid;

If our form matches that of the bottom five or six from now until the end of the season, we will go down.

Nonsense, it is still in our hands.

If we win all our games we'll definitely finish above Colchester, Scunthorpe and Southampton, no matter what happens in the other games in the division.

Correct Jeff, making tomorrow night's game massive.

With only 6 points seperating us from 12th, it all rests on form from now to the end of the season. Out of the 13 teams that still have to contemplate relegation, I think Colchester and Scunthorpe are down and they will be joined by the team that has a severe dip (or continuation) of form over the next 9 / 10 games. I think we have a better run-in than most (with some "easier" home games), but my worry is that if we lose to Southampton tomorrow, it is more than likely to be followed by defeat at WBA on Saturday and we might find ourselves adrift.

I'll be there for both and I'll be praying for points - would take 2 from these two games to be honest.

I'm not suprised some bookies see LCFC as 3rd favourites given recent form and results. Though Leicesters most recent game was of course a significant upturn in form, it wasn't in terms of a result. A home draw is hardly likely to slash your relegation odds.

BTW, If you saw Sheff Weds and Preston on 'the championship' on TV on Sunday, I'd be very alarmed. They look to have every reason to believe they will pull out just as LCFC do. Wednesday have a couple of useful additions in Kavagnah and a really useful looking interntional guy. If they pull away - and Preston - it means that LCFC game against S'ton is even more significant.
