I don't know the details of his loan but could we recall him if Vardy or Daka get injured later in the season? Would be helpful if so.
If not then Stoke can carry on developing him for us & giving him game time.

With Vardy likely to have played his last game for us in May (although admittedly with him you can never tell!) We'll then have a striker full of confidence after a good season under his belt to bring in, freeing up money to spend on other parts of the squad.

Or if we go down, we'll have a ready made proven championship striker to lead the line. Nothing but positives.

Of course he'll now break a leg in January (or worse, in May just before he comes back)

Tom Cannon missed a penalty as Stoke lost to 10 man Sheffield Weds

Was a shite penalty.

Also missed a completely free header right in front of the goal

Are we rummaging down the back of the sofa for odds-and-sods? Is there a car boot sale in the KP car park? Are we really that hard up?

The genuine shame of both Braybrooke and Cover is they needed recalling due to a lack of gametime but because the pair of them both played in the nonsense Trophy for the Under 21s, they can’t go out again as they have played for two clubs in a season (unless the MLS fancy it).

Cover did well at Vale I thought.
Darren Moore seemed to play 3 at the back with Cover on the r/h side of the 5 in midfield and early in the season when they were top of the League he played most games and even scored a few goals.
Perhaps other teams have worked how to play them and the results have dropped off recently and he's not been in the team and they've dropped in the League

Our talented young Leicester City Development Squad defender Ben Grist has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Worksop Town on loan, subject to league approval.

The 20-year-old, who joined our Academy from Grimsby Town in 2021, continues his development with Tigers until the end of the 2024/25 campaign as they battle for promotion to the National League North.

Young Leicester City midfielder Brandon Cover has joined Fleetwood Town on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, subject to Football League approval.

The 21-year-old Jamaica international has been part of our Academy since the age of seven, making steady progress over recent seasons, and spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Port Vale, for whom he featured on 21 occasions in all competitions, scoring twice.

He will now continue his development with the Cod Army, who are next in Sky Bet League Two action against Morecambe on Saturday 1 February (3pm kick-off).
