It's interesting that having 'neutral ' umpires seems to have done nothing to reduce the advantages in contentious decisions given in favour of the home side.

It's a good point - now we have a so called elite panel who are all meant to be of a decent standard we should have the top guys in charge of the top games - if Taufel is the best then he should be able to stand...

We lost potentially great officials like Peter Willey because they would have to spend half their life travelling...

Taufel and Dar are the best 2 umpires by far at the minute. Behind them i'd put Rauf and Davis who are usually good but do have the odd bad game, with good old Rudi at the bottom. He always has a good game for us somehow. Some of the decisions we get are horrendous.
