The bottom line is that the Inland Revenue agreed the deal the administrator negotiated. At the time I thought it was an unbelievably good deal, but as I say the taxman agreed to it.

The administrator was about the best executive that Leicester have ever had.

The arrangement with HMRC was as you say remarkable.

However, we shouldn't forget that in addition to the many not so wealthy small shareholders there were small businesses - suppliers to the club - who lost out in a big way.

As supporters we were obviously delighted that the club survived as a new legal entity - but it was hardly surprising that there were lots of moans from outsiders.

Calm down BG!

I was making the point that lots of suppliers & shareholders lost money. I was also inferring that they had been treated badly

These were not the ones to whom I was referring as "outsiders" - I meant be these other football clubs and their supporters.

Do you follow my drift now?

all the small businesses who lost money in our admin got fcuk all payout, none of this 10p in the pound crap. They were ordering goods and pushing the orders through right up to the day they went into admin and with no shame either!

I realise that.

Most people running a small business know what its like to lose money in these sort of situations -but of course it would be obviously worse when for all intents and purposes the liquidated business keeps trading under a slightly different title.

I don't think we were totally innocent in the whole thing and the build up to it, but that was the agreement we made with the Revenue as part of the deal to get out of Admin, so it's not like we did anything wrong in that sense. We just jumped through all the hoops that were put before us.

My understanding is that the present owner of Leicester City has no legal obligation for the debts of the board of Leicester City that went into administration. It was not a case of Leicester being innocent or guilty; they were forced into administration by someone within the football industry itself. Again my understanding is that we owed large sums of money. The ordinary businesses would give us time to pay. However, a well known football agent was willing to destroy the club if he did not get "his cut".

We will be checking the accuracy of these figures.

The initial deal was 10p in the £1, therefore the 10% stated.

HOWEVER

The club was then promoted and a further payment was made to all creditors as part of the administration deal, so we don't see how the Inland Revenue would not have received a second payment

it wouldnt surprise me if its inaccurate, bbc have gone right down in quality of news reporting.
