Not for us, but for them - their chairman seems to be a bit of a bell end - probably wants the compensation money (whatever that is, probably an I.O.U.) for his coffers as well as the badbuy money.

So if Burnley wanted to be hard faced about it, they could just keep him under contract. However, SC can buy out of his contract which means money for BFC.

We hang on until next month and he is then free to go where he wants. His contract to buy out with around a month remaining would be peanuts, if we went for him now.
If there was only one month remaining I doubt if Burnley would have refused permission to talk to him. Seems very strange
