I find it amazing how micky manages to get players without one rumour circulating the press. There was no clue he would sign morris, keown and gudjohnsson and those are just a few examples. I think this is a real skill of his and to be honest i reckon it is purely down to keeping his mouth shut when the press ask him about his wheeling and dealing. Whereas someone like Harry Redknapp ends up mouthing off about any player he is remotely interested in (take portsmouth interest in papa bouba diop where he was quoted as saying he was trying to land him. Diop moved to Fulham 3 days later!). I think this tactic employed by adams stops alot of teams trying to hijack our transfers. However this doesn't bear witness in the marcus bent saga which was unfortunate!
